Crochet Ribbed Dishcloth – Pattern Information

Skill Level: Easy

Materials

  • Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (Worsted Weight, #4; 100% Cotton; 1.75 oz/50g; 80yds/73m) 1 ball
  • Crochet Hook: H 5.00mm
  • Other: Scissors, Yarn Needle.

Finished Size

8″ by 8″. Adjust the size as needed in any number of chains. There is no stitch multiple, making it easy to adjust.

Crochet Abbreviations

  • Bldc = Back Loop Double Crochet
  • Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
  • Flsc = Front Loop Single Crochet
  • Sc = Single Crochet
  • St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches

Special Stitch Instructions

Bldc: Work the double crochet as normal, but insert your hook into the back loops only. The back loops are the ones furthest away from you.

Flsc: Work the single crochet as normal, but insert your hook into the front loops only. The front loops are the ones closest to you.

Crochet Ribbed Dishcloth Pattern Instructions

Ch 25, or any number of chains you need for the width.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. [24 sts]

Row 2: Ch 2 (does not count as st), bldc in first st and into each st across. Turn. [24 sts]

Row 3: Ch 1 (does not count as st), flsc in first st and into each st across, Turn. [24 sts]

Rows  4-15: Rep Rows 2 & 3.

Edging

With Ribbed side facing, ch 1, sc evenly around working 3 sc into each corner. Join with a slip stitch in first sc. Fasten Off.
