Crochet Shawl Pattern – Spring Lane

This free and easy crochet shawl pattern is not only easy and mindless to crochet, but it is also super easy to customize as you like to match your favorite season or outfit.

It is shown here in a solid color, but the stitch pattern makes adding stripes or blocks of colors super easy. Add your stripes at the ends of the shawl, in the middle, or throughout!

The stitch pattern is worked across the short rows, but you can just as easily work it along the long rows for a slightly different look. This rectangular crochet shawl pattern was made using long rows, and I love the horizontal lines created by the open stitches.

Last, but not least, I did not add an edging to this. But you can add a basic single crochet edge to keep the edges nice and even. With or without an edging, I think this shawl looks great.
